Flow Forward: #PoetryforLent 1

I read the other day that to put words to the page is to be empowered. So here is to a new practice of empowerment for Lent: weekly poetry. The image is of the Wissahickon Creek, a sacred stop for prayer and meditation on my morning commutes. May the Lenten journey be an invitation to join the Spirit's movement as we flow forward. 

Flow

the river does

sometimes high

others low

but the river flows

and moves

always here

carrying its story
